Grammars:

You can use the bellow of structure when you want to express gratitude

※ Thank for(object) + V-ing...

ex: Thank for telling me how to go to the Tokyo Skytree.

東京スカイツリーへの行き方を教えてくれてありがとうございます。

※ It's kind of + Object + To V ...

ex: It is kind of you to say so

そういってくれてありがとうございます。

※ How kind of + Object + To V

ex: How kind of you to visit me 

訪ねてくれてありがとうございます。

👉 And how to reply :

※ you are welcome / どういたしまして

※ not at all　/どういたしまして（とんでもない）

※ don't mention it /どういたしまして（お礼なんていいよ）
